HMP Global Chairman and CEO Jeff Hennessy Applauds CDC’s approval of the CLI Global Society's proposal to recognize "Critical Limb Ischemia" (CLI) and "Chronic Limb Threatening Ischemia" in the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM)

Statement from HMP Global Chairman and CEO, Jeff Hennessy, regarding the CLI Global Society's proposal to recognize "Critical Limb Ischemia" (CLI) and "Chronic Limb Threatening Ischemia" in the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM), which was approved by the CDC and took effect on October 1:

“HMP Global applauds the incredible work of the CLI Global Society and this landmark achievement to ensure Critical Limb Ischemia and Chronic Limb Threatening Ischemia receive distinct classification in the ICD-10-CM. Since 2015, HMP Global has supported the efforts of a multidisciplinary coalition of clinicians working to prevent, treat, and ultimately end amputations related to CLI through the Amputation Prevention Symposium (AMP), the only medical conference dedicated to CLI education. For more than ten years, the AMP meetings in the US and Europe have educated thousands of clinicians — delivering the latest advances in revascularization and practical, hands-on techniques. This is a significant day not only for our colleagues engaged in this worthy endeavor, but for CLI patients everywhere.” Read more: http://bit.ly/CLIICD10
